ReStores are retail establishments, created by Habitat for Humanity affiliates.

Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County and the ReStore is excited announce that we HAVE MOVED to a MUCH BIGGER AND BETTER LOCATION!!!

We have moved into the former Fleck Chair building on Highway 162 across from the 4-H Fairgrounds! Our new address will be 4232 S. 170 E., Huntingburg, IN 47542. Once you see the fairgrounds, slow down and turn left! We will have a nice large sign along the highway pointing the way to the new building which should make it much easier for customers and donors to find us.

This location is three times the size of our current location AND offers a cooled/ better heated showroom. We want to thank all of you who support Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore!

There are 3 main purposes for a ReStore:

1)  To provide additional funding to support the affiliates' housing goals;

2)  To expand the affiliates' opportunities to serve a broader base in the community by providing low-cost housing products, as well as other items at reasonable prices;

3)  To reduce construction and household materials from landfills and reuse items in order to protect the environment.

For example photos of the kinds of items we sell, view our Newsletter.

We need volunteers who can do one or more of the following:

  • To assist with receiving items and preparing items for resale. This can be anything from pricing items, to cleaning and repairing items.  We have many varieties of volunteers, who find many ways to help when they come to the ReStore.
  • The ReStore also has computing and creative needs. If you would like to be involved in putting together the newsletter, either with the photography or typing, your skills are needed at the ReStore.
  • Operating the cash register a few hours a week is another way a volunteer could be of assistance.

  • How can you donate? Come to the ReStore during business hours with your treasures. Or call us to come and pick up items.
    What can you donate? Please donate only items you feel are valuable to another person to reuse. We cannot accept  used mattress, clothing, broken glass, or anything badly damaged.
