We Believe In You
At Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County we believe it is a basic human right that everyone has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. We want to help you build a better life for you and your family that will last generations. Side by side we will help you build a new home and help you learn the needed skills to become a successful homeowner. Becoming a homeowner is hard work but with some help from volunteers and donors, we can build a stronger future together.

Become a Habitat Homeowner
Are you interested in owning your own home? Home ownership may be possible with Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County. If you answer yes to the following questions, you may qualify.
Ability to Pay
I can afford to pay approximately $450 a month with an affordable zero-percent APR mortgage. The sales price of the home is based on the apprised value of the home.
I have no judgement or collections, or I have the ability to resolve judgments or collections.
I have not had a bankruptcy, or the bankruptcy filing has been discharged for more than two years.
My household income does not exceed 60% of the area median income based on the number of people living in my household. See the chart below for our 2022 income guidelines.
I have been employed two years in the same field and have had no more than 1 job change in the past 24 months.

I am willing to volunteer at least 300 sweat equity hours on my home and the homes of others.
I am willing to attend homeowner workshops.
